Fire Damages Vehicles at Naples Car Lot, No Injuries Reported

NAPLES, Fla. — A fire broke out early Monday morning at Lange’s Corner, a car sales lot in Naples, damaging three vehicles and the siding of a nearby building, according to fire officials.

The Greater Naples Fire District (GNFD) and the Naples Fire Department responded to the scene around 4:30 a.m. No one was present at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

A GNFD captain told WINK News reporter Sommer Senne that crews were able to extinguish the blaze in less than 10 minutes, despite facing challenges associated with a fuel-related fire. Officials said the flames did not spread into the building itself, limiting the extent of the damage.

Fire crews remained on scene Monday morning to conduct mop-up operations and monitor for any remaining hot spots.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Authorities noted that the vehicles involved were parked and not running when the fire started. Investigators, along with the business owner, were en route to the scene to assess the damage and begin an investigation.

According to Google listings, Lange’s Corner is marked as “permanently closed,” though it was unclear whether the status is related to the incident.
