Investigation Leads to Juvenile Arrests in Armed Burglary Case

Marco Island Police Department Investigation Leads to Juvenile Arrests in Armed Burglary Case
An investigation conducted by the Marco Island Police Department has resulted in the arrest of juvenile suspects connected to an armed burglary incident that occurred on May 3, 2026, in the 400 block of Capri Court.
During the investigation, Marco Island Detectives developed evidence connecting two juveniles to the incident. The case was later reviewed by the State Attorney’s Office, which resulted in arrest warrants being issued for Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling While Armed and Criminal Mischief Under $200.
The warrants were executed by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, and both juvenile suspects are currently in custody.
“We appreciate the hard work of our detectives and the assistance provided by the community throughout this investigation,” said Interim Police Chief Joe Belardo. “The tips and information shared by members of the public played an important role in helping move this case forward.”
This remains an active investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Marco Island Police Department at (239) 389-5050 or submit tips anonymously through Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
Because both suspects are juveniles, no additional identifying information will be released at this time.
