Valentine’s Day Peanut Butter Cookies

Valentine’s Day Peanut Butter Cookies

Featuring heart-shaped chocolates, because subtlety is overrated.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter (creamy—chunky has trust issues)

  • 1 cup sugar (love is sweet, life is chaos)

  • 1 egg (emotionally stable, preferably)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, but makes the cookies feel fancy)

  • Heart-shaped chocolates (as many as your feelings require)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
This is the part where you commit. Unlike last Valentine’s Day.

  2. Mix peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla in a bowl.
Stir until smooth and unified—something we can all aspire to.

  3. Roll dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
Leave space between cookies so they don’t cling to each other like couples in February.

  4. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until cookies are puffed and lightly golden.
They will look slightly underdone. That’s okay. So are we.

  5. Immediately press one heart-shaped chocolate into the center of each hot cookie.
Watch it soften but not melt completely—just like your emotional walls.

  6. Let cool for a few minutes (the cookies, not you—stay hot).
The chocolate will set, the cookies will firm up, and everything will feel briefly under control.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve to your Valentine to say “I care.”

  • Serve to yourself to say “I survived another February.”

  • Pairs well with milk, coffee, or scrolling your phone dramatically.

Baker’s Wisdom

If someone doesn’t appreciate a peanut butter cookie topped with a chocolate heart, they are not your person.
