NORTH NAPLES — A tragic incident unfolded early Sunday morning after a vehicle fire in a Chase Bank parking lot left one person dead, authorities said.
North Collier Fire Rescue crews were dispatched at 3:38 a.m. to the bank located at 2480 Vanderbilt Beach Road, where they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and discovered one person deceased inside the vehicle, according to officials.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death. No additional details, including the identity of the deceased, have been released.
