Woman Airlifted to Hospital After E-Bike Crash on Marco Island

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after an e-bike collided with a vehicle on Marco Island, Florida.

Emergency crews were called to the junction of Holly Court and North Collier Boulevard at around 3:30pm on Wednesday.

Police, firefighters and paramedics arrived to find the woman injured following the crash.

Officials say her injuries were serious enough to require transport by medical helicopter to a regional trauma centre. No update on her condition has been released.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, although authorities have not disclosed further details about those involved or what may have led to the collision.

The crash caused disruption in the area as investigators examined the scene and worked to establish exactly how the incident unfolded.
