🔥 Fire Contained at Ritz-Carlton Naples — No Injuries Reported

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A small fire at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton in Naples prompted a swift response from North Collier Fire Rescue on Thursday, but fortunately, no one was injured.

According to the fire department, the blaze originated in the sauna room of the resort. Hotel guests and employees safely self-evacuated before firefighters arrived, ensuring there were no injuries or smoke inhalation incidents.

Before fire crews reached the scene, Ritz-Carlton staff and deputies from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office made initial efforts to contain the flames using on-site fire extinguishers. Their quick action helped keep the situation under control.

When firefighters arrived, they fully extinguished the remaining fire using a “water can” — a handheld, pressurized extinguisher filled with water designed for small, contained fires. Crews said the method was chosen to minimize water damage to the luxury resort while ensuring complete suppression.

“This was a great example of teamwork between hotel staff, deputies, and our firefighters,” North Collier Fire Rescue said in a statement. “Early detection, calm evacuation, and the right tools prevented what could have been a much larger incident.”

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but officials believe it was accidental and limited to the sauna area.

Hotel operations have since returned to normal, and no significant property damage was reported beyond minor smoke effects.
