One person is dead after a SUV crashed into a lake in the Heritage Bay neighborhood. The SUV was found that approximately 10:00 AM this morning. Collier Sheriffs, North Collier Fire, FWC & Collier EMS were on scene for over 4 hours. The SUV was pulled from the water at 3:30 PM this afternoon. One deceased person was inside the SUV. The FWC law enforcement were on scene due to an alligator in the water. The Collier Sheriff Office & North Collier Fire dive team searched the lake & started the recovery operations after the Vehicle was located. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
