⚠️ Public Health Alert: Walmart Pasta Dish May Be Contaminated with Listeria
A popular ready-to-eat meal sold at Walmart has been flagged with a public health alert due to potential listeria monocytogenes contamination, federal food safety officials announced.
The product in question is Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara Sauce, packaged in a 12-ounce plastic tray. The affected items carry establishment numbers EST. 50784 or EST. 47718 and include “best if used by” dates of Sept. 22, 24, 25, 29, 30, and Oct. 1, 2025.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) warns that some of these products may still be sitting in consumer refrigerators or freezers.
“Persons in the higher-risk categories who experience flu-like symptoms within two months after eating contaminated food should seek medical care and tell the health care provider about eating the contaminated food,” the alert cautions.
