Breast Cancer Awareness Month Brings Community Together in Support of Survivors
Marco Island & Naples, FL — October 2025 🎀

Southwest Florida is awash in shades of pink this October as Marco Island and Naples residents rally together for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, hosting a variety of heartfelt events designed to support survivors and raise awareness about early detection.

From charity walks and pink-themed parties to survivor wellness days, the local spirit of compassion and connection is unmistakable.

đź’• Paint the Town Pink

Marco Island businesses are once again taking part in the annual “Paint the Town Pink” campaign, coordinated by the Marco Island Area Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the month, storefronts, restaurants, and offices are adorned with pink ribbons, balloons, and décor — each display a sign of unity and hope. Many participating businesses are donating a portion of proceeds to local survivor support programs.

🚶‍♀️ Strides for Strength

In Naples, hundreds are expected to lace up for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Southwest Florida Walkat Paradise Coast Sports Complex. The annual event honors survivors, remembers loved ones lost, and raises funds for lifesaving research and patient assistance. Survivors lead the walk wearing signature pink sashes, symbolizing resilience and hope.

🌸 Healing and Hope

Local wellness centers and salons are joining in by offering Survivor Spa Days, giving women in recovery a chance to relax and reconnect. Yoga studios across Naples and Marco Island are hosting donation-based classes, with proceeds going to Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer Support, a Collier County nonprofit that provides financial aid and resources to women undergoing treatment.

📚 Awareness Through Education

Community organizations and healthcare providers are also emphasizing the importance of education and early detection. Throughout October, hospitals and clinics in Collier County are hosting “Lunch & Learn” sessions featuring local oncologists, who discuss advances in breast cancer treatment and the importance of regular screenings.

đź’— A Community United

For many, these events are more than just fundraisers — they’re a celebration of courage. “Every pink ribbon represents a story of strength,” said a representative from Bosom Buddies. “When our community comes together like this, survivors know they’re not fighting alone.”

Residents can show their support by wearing pink, donating to local survivor programs, or simply sharing awareness messages online using #MarcoGoesPink and #NaplesForSurvivors.

Because in Marco Island and Naples this month, hope wears pink — and it’s stronger than ever.
