Collier County Democratic Party to Hold “Stand Up For Immigrants” Rally on Saturday

NAPLES, Fla. — The Collier County Democratic Party is organizing a “Stand Up For Immigrants” rally this Saturday, Nov. 15, aiming to spotlight what organizers call the essential role of immigrants in the United States and to demand what they describe as humane, lawful treatment of immigrant communities.

The rally will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, beginning on the steps of the Collier County Courthouse at 3315 Tamiami Trail E. in Naples. Participants will then march to the U.S. 41/Airport-Pulling Road intersection. Those planning to attend can register through the Mobilize event platform.

In a press release, the party emphasized that immigrants are “an essential part of the United States — they pay taxes, strengthen our economy, defend our country, and enrich our communities.” The statement went on to criticize former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, calling them “illegal and inhumane” and asserting that they “tear apart families and divide our communities.”

Key Messages of the Rally

Organizers outlined a series of demands forming the core message of the event:

• Immigrants deserve legal due process

• No more ICE kidnappings

• Unmask ICE agents

• Stop deporting people to countries they’ve never lived in

• Close ICE detention centers, referred to as “modern-day gulags”

• No ICE searches without warrants

• ICE profiling is illegal and racist

Beyond political messaging, the event will also serve as a community support effort. Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations. The collected items will go to Our Daily Bread, a charitable organization serving families in Naples and Marco Island.

“With the loss of SNAP benefits, many families in our county are struggling with food insecurity,” the release said. “Bringing food is another way we show that our compassion is stronger than cruelty — that we take care of one another.”

Commitment to Nonviolence

Organizers emphasized that, in line with Indivisible guidelines, the rally is strictly nonviolent. Participants are expected to remain peaceful throughout the event and help de-escalate any potential conflict.

The Collier County Democratic Party says its goal is not only to advocate for immigrants but also to demonstrate community solidarity at a time when many local families are facing hardship.

The rally is open to the public, and organizers encourage anyone supportive of immigrant rights and humanitarian policies to attend.
