Collier County Domestic Animal Services Hosts Kitten College Educational Event
Learn How to Save Kittens in Your Community – No Experience Required!
Collier County Domestic Animal Services (DAS) is pleased to welcome the Kitten College team for a special educational event dedicated to saving the lives of kittens in our community. The event will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Exhibit Hall, North Collier Regional Park, located at 15000 Livingston Road, Naples, Florida.
This free, interactive program is open to shelter partners, current and prospective foster families, animal welfare professionals, and members of the public interested in learning how to care for kittens in need. There is no commitment required—just come, listen, and learn how you can make a difference.
The Kitten College team, based at the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in Virginia, is nationally recognized for developing one of the most successful kitten foster and care programs in the country. Their visit will include two sessions:
- 12:00 p.m. – “Kitten College: Small Program, Huge Impact”
Designed for shelter staff, administrators, and rescue partners, this session explores how to structure and grow a sustainable kitten foster program. - 2:00–4:00 p.m. – “Taking the Fear Out of Bottle Feeding and Basic Kitten Care”
Open to staff, fosters, and the public, this hands-on training follows the latest guidelines from UC Davis Koret Shelter Medicine Program and provides practical tips for caring for underage kittens.
Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, meet DAS staff, and connect with others passionate about helping animals.
Registration is required online at https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=21191074, and all are welcome to attend.
