Juvenile Beaten, Robbed in Marco Island; Three Suspects on the Run
MARCO ISLAND, Fla. — Police are searching for three suspects after a juvenile was beaten and robbed early Wednesday morning in a quiet Marco Island neighborhood.
According to the Marco Island Police Department (MIPD), the robbery happened shortly after midnight near the intersection of Winterberry Drive and South Collier Boulevard. Officers were alerted around 2:58 a.m., when the victim—also a juvenile—reported being assaulted and robbed of $1,200 in cash.
Investigators said the victim was approached by three male juveniles riding Surron-style e-bikes. The suspects allegedly began hitting the victim before stealing the cash and fleeing eastbound on Winterberry Drive toward Landmark Street.
Police said the suspects were all described as approximately five feet tall, thin, and wearing long clothing, helmets, and face coverings. No weapons were shown during the incident, according to detectives.
MIPD officers and detectives are actively investigating and reviewing area surveillance footage. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspects’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Marco Island Police Department.
