Major Golf Event Returning to Naples During Chubb Classic
Naples, Fla. — Naples will once again take center stage in the golf world next month as the First Tee Champions Challenge returns Feb. 12–15 alongside the Chubb Classic at Tiburón Golf Club.
The event, which blends professional competition with youth development and community engagement, will bring young golfers from across the country to compete alongside PGA Tour Champions players. Organizers say the Champions Challenge highlights the mission of The First Tee, a nonprofit dedicated to teaching life skills and values through golf.
Youth Golf Meets the Pros
The Champions Challenge features select junior golfers competing in a high-profile setting, giving them exposure to elite-level competition and mentorship opportunities with seasoned professionals. The format is designed to showcase not only athletic skill, but also leadership, sportsmanship, and confidence.
“This event is about more than golf,” organizers said. “It’s about giving young players a platform to grow, learn, and be inspired.”
Boost for Tourism and the Local Economy
The return of the Champions Challenge is expected to draw visitors, families, and golf fans to Naples during one of the city’s busiest winter tourism periods. Local hotels, restaurants, and businesses typically see increased activity during Chubb Classic week, which is one of Southwest Florida’s premier sporting events.
Naples has long been known as a golf destination, and events like this further cement its reputation as a hub for both professional and amateur competition.
Community Events and National Spotlight
In addition to tournament play, the week will include community events, youth clinics, and fan experiences, offering residents and visitors multiple ways to engage. With national media coverage tied to the Chubb Classic, Naples is expected to receive widespread attention throughout the event.
As February approaches, local leaders and tourism officials are welcoming the return of the Champions Challenge as a win for youth sports, community involvement, and the region’s growing profile on the national golf stage.
