Motorcyclist Declared Trauma Alert After Collision Under I-75 Bridge on Immokalee Road

NORTH NAPLES, Fla. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured Wednesday evening after being struck by a car beneath the I-75 overpass on Immokalee Road, according to emergency responders.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes. First-arriving crews from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and North Collier Fire Control District found the rider down in the roadway with severe injuries.

Paramedics immediately declared the motorcyclist a Trauma Alert, prompting rapid transport to a nearby trauma center. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity or the extent of the injuries.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Traffic in the area was heavily impacted as deputies temporarily shut down several lanes to document the crash and clear the wreckage.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
