Naples High School Student Arrested After Deputies Find Drugs and Razors
NAPLES, Fla. — A 15-year-old student at Naples High School was arrested Wednesday after deputies said drugs and razor blades were found in the student’s possession on campus.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), Youth Relations Deputies received a tip that a student had brought drugs to school. Deputies responded and conducted an investigation, during which they searched the student’s backpack.
CCSO reported that suspected marijuana was found inside the backpack, along with a box cutter containing a large razor blade and an additional straight-edge razor. Authorities emphasized that no threats were made and there was no indication of an imminent danger to students or staff.
The student, whose name is not being released due to age, is facing charges of possession of a weapon on school grounds, possession of narcotics, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff’s officials are reminding the public to report any suspicious activity on school campuses. Anyone who sees or hears something concerning is urged to contact the Collier County Sheriff’s Office at 239-252-9300, or call 9-1-1 in an emergency.
