Naples Man Charged with Secretly Recording Child Getting Out of the Shower

NAPLES, Fla. — Seriously… what’s wrong with some people? A Naples man is behind bars after deputies say he secretly filmed a child in the shower — yes, you read that right.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Jeffrey Odone was arrested Thursday after investigators uncovered disturbing footage he allegedly recorded using a hidden GoPro camera.

It all started when a woman found a suspicious — and deeply inappropriate — video on Odone’s phone. She immediately reported it, and deputies later confirmed the clip had been backed up to his iCloud and hidden in a secret folder.

The video reportedly shows a child getting out of the shower and getting dressed — a horrifying violation of privacy that’s difficult to even process.

When detectives searched Odone’s home on October 30, they found several electronic devices, including the GoPro camera that investigators say was connected to his phone via Bluetooth — the same one believed to have captured the footage.

Odone is now facing one count of digital voyeurism involving a victim under 16 — a serious felony charge that could land him in prison for a long time.

Authorities haven’t said whether Odone knew the victim or what the relationship was — but honestly, that doesn’t make this story any less revolting.
