OMG! NORTH NAPLES MAN’S TERRIFYING RAMPAGE ENDS IN SWAT STANDOFF

😱 OMG! NORTH NAPLES MAN’S TERRIFYING RAMPAGE ENDS IN SWAT STANDOFF 🔥🚔

NORTH NAPLES, Fla. — Buckle up, because this one sounds straight out of a Florida crime drama — except it actually happened.

A North Naples man is behind bars after a chaotic, hours-long ordeal Thursday night that included car crashes, gunfire, a family hostage situation, and even a backyard fire show. 🙈

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies first got a call around 9:57 p.m. about a crash on Piper Boulevard — a vehicle had smashed into several parked cars and a building. But when deputies arrived, the driver had vanished into the night like a Florida Man Houdini.

Minutes later, chaos erupted again — this time on Kirtland Drive in the Willoughby Acres neighborhood. The suspect, identified as 42-year-old James Ricardo Ibarra, had barricaded himself inside his home after allegedly threatening to kill his wife and children.

💥 Deputies say Ibarra went full action-movie villain: he pulled a gun on his wife during an argument about their divorce, accused her of cheating, kicked her off a stationary bike, and even fired a shot near her ear.

But it gets worse — investigators say he forced her into an SUV at gunpoint, only for her to bravely fight back. During the struggle, she managed to disarm him and escape, running for her life while Ibarra allegedly chased her in the car. 🚗💨

Meanwhile, the couple’s children showed incredible courage — barricading themselves in a room, cutting through a window screen, and escaping through the window to safety. 🧒💪

As deputies surrounded the house, Ibarra reportedly lit items on fire on a backyard grill (because what’s a standoff without a little pyromania?). The CCSO SWAT team and aviation unit were called in, with helicopters circling overhead and negotiators working for hours to bring things to a peaceful end.

Finally, around 3 a.m., Ibarra surrendered without further incident. 😮‍💨

He was taken to the Collier County Jail, where he’s facing five felony charges — including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony.

No one else was injured, but the community is shaken — and honestly, who wouldn’t be?

👮‍♂️ From car crashes to fire pits and a midnight SWAT team — North Naples had more drama last night than a whole season of “COPS.”

CCSO summed it up best: “Our deputies showed incredible bravery and restraint in bringing this situation to a peaceful resolution.”

👉 Moral of the story: Don’t mix jealousy, divorce, and a gas grill. Nothing good comes from that combination in Florida.
