Collier County, FL — A late-night disturbance outside the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles in Naples escalated into a violent battery early Saturday, leaving one man seriously injured, according to first responders.
Greater Naples Fire Rescue District and Collier County EMS were dispatched to the DMV located at 725 Airport-Pulling Road S at approximately 12:05 a.m. after reports of a confrontation that had turned physical between individuals involved in the disturbance.
Upon arrival, crews found an approximately 50-year-old man suffering from severe injuries. Radio communications indicate he was classified as a “Trauma Alert” and subsequently airlifted by LeeFlight to Gulf Coast Medical Centerfor emergency treatment.
Witnesses reported seeing deputies detain a male at the scene, though the Collier County Sheriff’s Office has not yet confirmed whether any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
