Only in Florida.

Naples, FL — Only in Florida. What started as a peaceful Sunday stroll for a local woman quickly turned into a real-life Jurassic Park scene when an alligator decided she looked like a tasty snack. According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the woman was hiking along the Crew Bird Rookery Swamp Trails in Naples when the not-so-friendly gator bit her on the arm and leg.

The North Collier Fire Department and FWC responded swiftly, rushing her to a nearby hospital. Meanwhile, a contracted nuisance alligator trapper was called in to safely remove the feisty reptile—likely with a calm, “No hard feelings, okay?”

Eyewitnesses are still stunned, wondering how a serene Florida hike can end with battle wounds from a prehistoric predator. Authorities remind everyone to keep a safe distance from wildlife—though for this woman, that advice came a little late.

And somewhere deep in the swamp, an alligator is probably boasting about its Sunday catch.
