Blue lights cut through the early morning darkness outside Walmart Supercenter after emergency crews were called to a disturbing scene just after 3AM.
Greater Naples Fire Rescue and Collier County EMS responded to the store on Tamiami Trail East at approximately 3:11AM on Sunday morning, where a deceased person was discovered outside the property.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed an active investigation is now underway, but officials have so far released few details about the circumstances surrounding the death.
Deputies remained at the scene as investigators worked through the early hours, carefully examining the area and gathering evidence.
At this stage, authorities have not identified the individual publicly, nor indicated whether foul play is suspected.
