Brush Fire Sparks Power Outages Along Whiskey Creek Drive, Crews Remain on Scene
Emergency crews are responding to a brush fire in the 500 block of Whiskey Creek Drive, where the blaze has also caused nearby power outages.
Police and fire personnel remain at the scene as firefighters work to contain the fire. Authorities say there is no immediate danger to the public, but motorists are being urged to avoid the area if possible and drive with extra caution.
Representatives from LCEC are on site working to restore electricity to homes and businesses affected by the outage.
Drivers traveling through the area are being reminded to slow down and comply with Florida’s Move Over Law, giving emergency responders the space they need to work safely.
