One Injured After Vehicle Slams Into Naples Building

A person has been taken to hospital after a vehicle crashed into a building in downtown Naples.

Emergency crews were called to 975 3rd Avenue North shortly after 9:13 a.m. on Monday following reports that a vehicle had struck the structure.

The Naples Police Department confirmed one person suffered injuries in the incident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released details on the extent of those injuries.

Photographs from the scene showed emergency responders surrounding the damaged building as investigators worked to determine what led up to the crash.

No further information about the driver, the injured person, or the cause of the collision has been released.
