The latest sampling across Southwest Florida continues to show favorable conditions.

County Highlights

  • Collier County: No impacts expected.

  • Lee County: No significant bloom reported.

  • Charlotte County: Background or no detectable concentrations.

  • Sarasota & Manatee Counties: No widespread bloom activity.

Only isolated background concentrations of Karenia brevis have been detected, well below levels typically associated with beach closures or respiratory irritation. (FWC)

Good news for wildlife lovers:

  • 🐬 No unusual marine mammal mortality events related to red tide.
