๐ฅ Firefighters Contain Pool Equipment Fire on Inlet Drive, Prevent Spread to Marco Island Home
MARCO ISLAND, Fla. โ Quick action by Marco Island Fire Rescue crews prevented a residential fire from spreading after firefighters responded to a report of flames involving pool heating equipment Monday evening.
Firefighters were called to the 600 block of Inlet Drive at approximately 6:00 p.m. following reports of a structure fire. When crews arrived, they found a fire involving pool heating equipment located next to the residence.
Crews moved quickly to contain the blaze and were able to extinguish the fire before it reached the home, limiting the potential for significant structural damage.
The incident was brought under control in approximately 15 minutes.
Thankfully, no residents or firefighters were injured.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Fire officials remind homeowners that pool equipment areas should be kept clear of combustible materials, and electrical or mechanical issues involving pool systems should be inspected promptly to help reduce fire risks.
